The Woodlands, Texas –The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, home of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, has named Lisa Baeckel the new director of development for the entertainment venue effective August 1. In this position, Baeckel will assume responsibility for all fundraising efforts on behalf of The Pavilion.
Baeckel has over 20 years of development and nonprofit experience. Most recently, she served as major gifts officer for Texas Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining Texas Children’s Hospital, she served as development manager for Interfaith of The Woodlands.
“I am very pleased to have someone with Lisa’s expertise join our team,” said Jerry MacDonald, president and CEO of The Pavilion. “We look forward to her contributing to our continued growth and success.”
Baeckel is a member of the Executive Women’s Alliance and an active volunteer for Texas Rush Soccer. She is a longtime resident of Montgomery County along with her three college-aged children. Baeckel holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Oregon.
