THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Kick off America’s birthday celebration at Star-Spangled Salute as the Houston Symphony takes the Main Stage, Wednesday, July 3 at 8 p.m.  This free Independence Eve spectacular, which has been a tradition at The Pavilion for 30 seasons, features the Houston Symphony in a selection of patriotic favorites, presented by The Howard Hughes Corporation. Tickets are not required for this event. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, May 30, take an epic adventure with the Houston Symphony at How To Train Your Dragon in Concert, sponsored by Insperity. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Houston Symphony Pays Tribute to Tom Petty on The Pavilion Main Stage April 20


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Celebrate the music of rock legend Tom Petty in this exhilarating musical tribute sponsored by Huntsman. The Houston Symphony will return to The Pavilion Main Stage on Saturday, April 20 for an evening honoring Petty’s life and featuring a variety of his classic hits including “American Girl,” “Free Fallin’” and “Learning to Fly.” Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Reserved orchestra seating tickets are $20. The performance will begin at 8 p.m. and gates open at 7 p.m.

Hundreds Supported the Arts at The Pavilion Partners 20th Anniversary Wine Dinner and Auction


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, held the 20th Annual Wine Dinner and Auction March 24 on The Pavilion’s Main Stage. This year’s exclusive dinner had record-breaking attendance and raised more than $250,000 to fund scholarships for local students pursuing the fine arts in higher education.

'The Dream Continues' as The Pavilion Celebrates 30th Performing Arts Season

Mitchell, founder of The Woodlands, along with his wife Cynthia Woods Mitchell, for whom The Pavilion is named, dreamed of creating a first-class performing arts facility for The Woodlands since the community’s inception in 1974. They envisioned the facility as a venue for classical performances and educational events, as well as popular music.

The PAVILION RANKED NO. 4 OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATER IN THE WORLD FOR 2018


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is now ranked fourth in the top 100 amphitheaters in the world based on the number of tickets sold in 2018, according to Pollstar magazine, the concert industry’s leading trade publication. The Pavilion’s ticket sales have totaled 467,620 for concerts between November 23, 2017 and November 21, 2018.

THE PAVILION HOSTS OVER 8,500 AREA STUDENTS FOR FINE ARTS EDUCATION DAY

EXPERIENCE A NIGHT OF DANCE AT TEXAS MUSIC FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA FREE CONCERT JUNE 22

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Since 1990, each summer, young professional musicians descend upon the University of Houston campus for a four-week intensive orchestral fellowship program. Each musician accepted into the program receives a fellowship that offers a dynamic opportunity to learn from distinguished artists from the Moores and Shepherd schools of music faculty as well as members of the Houston Symphony. The program culminates at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion where the Texas Music Festival Orchestra will take the Main Stage for a free concert Friday, June 22 at 8 p.m. under Guest Conductor Carlos Spierer. Tickets are not required for free seating.
