In light of the extensive devastation throughout the state of Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the Eric Church show is postponed.  It is rescheduled to Friday, April 27, 2018.

MESSAGE FROM PAVILION CEO REGARDING HURRICANE HARVEY

On behalf of Jerry MacDonald, CEO & President of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion:

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has had no physical damage to the venue from the impact of Hurricane Harvey and is in good shape. Our current focus is on our staff, fans and community whose homes are experiencing devastating flood waters. With this in mind, the following shows have been cancelled at the venue:

  • Lady Antebellum scheduled for Sunday, August 27, 2017
  • Jeff and Larry’s Backyard BBQ featuring Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy scheduled for Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Refunds for both shows are available at the point of purchase.

Our continued thoughts are with our fellow Texans.

Take a Literary Journey with the Houston Symphony July 19 at The Pavilion

The Woodlands, Texas – The popular children’s book “The Composer is Dead” will come to life on The Pavilion’s Main Stage Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Children and adults will go on a literary journey with the Houston Symphony to investigate who killed the famed composer. Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $20 for reserved orchestra seating and the lawn and mezzanine are free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

The Woodlands, Texas – Kick off America’s birthday celebration at Star-Spangled Salute as the Houston Symphony takes the Main Stage, Monday, July 3, 2017, at 8 p.m.  This free Independence Eve spectacular, which has been a tradition at The Pavilion for 27 years, features the Houston Symphony in a selection of patriotic favorites, presented by The Woodlands Development Company. Get Ready to Rock with The Suffers and Houston Symphony June 17!

On June 17, Principal POPS Conductor Steven Reineke and the Houston Symphony will premiere a brand-new orchestra show created just for Houston-born band The Suffers that is sure to excite both new and old fans alike. Danny DeVito LIVE on The Pavilion's Main Stage for Matilda: Film with Live Orchestra June 9!

Acclaimed actor, producer, director and narrator, Danny DeVito, will join famed film composer David Newman and the Houston Symphony at the world premiere of Matilda: Film with Live Orchestra at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on June 9 at 8 p.m. Come early to enjoy the Hats Off to Reading Celebration where kids can receive a free book and participate in games and crafts. Tickets are $20 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Watch Raiders of the Lost Ark while Houston Symphony Performs Incredible Score at The Pavilion August 29


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – On Thursday, August 29, all are welcome to attend a screening of Steven Spielberg’s very own Raiders of the Lost Ark at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The Houston Symphony will be performing the movie's suspenseful score live, as the action of Indiana Jones unfolds on the venue’s big screens. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. All Aboard The Pavilion Express to Children’s Festival Presented by ExxonMobil Nov. 9-10


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transforming into a giant playground for the 24th Annual Children’s Festival presented by ExxonMobil and the whole neighborhood is invited to hop on board! This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 10 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 9 at 10 a.m.

The Pavilion and Houston Symphony Salute Community Heroes at A Symphony of Heroes September 11


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – On Wednesday, September 11, all are invited to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for a special salute to heroes with an action-packed program by the Houston Symphony. A Symphony of Heroes will feature musical scores from a variety of iconic movies including Superman, Spider-Man, The Avengers and The Incredibles as well as a tribute to everyday community heroes. 30th Annual Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival Kicks Off at The Pavilion June 7


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Since 1990, each summer, young professional musicians descend upon the University of Houston campus for a four-week intensive orchestral fellowship program. Each musician accepted into the program receives a fellowship that offers a dynamic opportunity to learn from distinguished artists from the Moores and Shepherd schools of music faculty as well as members of the Houston Symphony. The program features a concert at The Pavilion where the Texas Music Festival Orchestra will take the Main Stage for a free concert Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. under the direction of Conductor Franz Anton Krager. Tickets are not required for free seating.

The Pavilion Hosts Chamber Music Camp Led by Julliard-Trained Faculty for Area Students


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Woodlands Chamberfest recently returned to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for an eighth year of lessons from notable Julliard alumni. Thirty-six students attended the week-long chamber music program for students in grades 7 through 12 who play violin, viola, cello and bass. As one of The Pavilion’s educational outreach programs, the summer music camp is dedicated to teaching communication, collaboration and leadership through chamber music.

The Pavilion Offered Local Scouts Opportunity to Earn Music Merit Badge June 7


THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – On Friday, June 7, local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts attended Scout Day at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion to earn their Music Merit Badge before the Texas Music Festival Orchestra took the Main Stage. With a record-breaking 120 scouts in attendance, this year’s event, which reflects The Pavilion’s commitment to education, was a resounding success.
