Community Arts Grants

Through The Pavilion's Community Arts Grants, we proudly support nonprofit arts organizations in Harris and Montgomery Counties that are breaking down barriers, amplifying impact and bringing meaningful artistic experiences to our local communities.

This grant program is designed to strengthen programming and outreach initiatives in the visual arts, music, theatre, dance and film with funding dedicated specifically to projects that will be completed within a 12 month period. The program is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations located in Harris or Montgomery County. All grant funds must be used within one year of the award and must directly support the approved program. A final report describing how the funds were used and the program’s community impact will be required.

While we do not currently provide general operating support, we are deeply committed to helping organizations deliver programs that reach wider audiences, introduce new communities to classical and contemporary art forms and inspire the next generation of artists and art lovers.

At The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, we believe the arts are a guiding light to the best parts of the human experience—and that light should be for everyone. We want to help create opportunities for young artists to shine on stage, for families to experience the wonder of live performance and for students of all backgrounds to discover how art connects us, moves us and teaches us. We believe that by collaborating with fellow arts nonprofits, we can build a more vibrant, inclusive and culturally rich region—together.
