We wanted to share a message from Michael Cavanaugh in advance of the show:

"Unfortunately, I am currently under medical care for a vocal injury that requires specialized treatment. As a result, I am unable to appear with Houston Symphony for our July 21st performance. I am truly sorry to have to miss this performance. I know it affects many people, including the audience, the symphony, and the presenters. I'm expected to make a full recovery and I can't wait to perform for you all again soon."

We are excited to announce that acclaimed vocalist and pianist Tony DeSare will step in to perform Billy Joel's and Elton John's spectacular songbooks.
