The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has had no physical damage to the venue from the impact of Hurricane Harvey and is in good shape. Our current focus is on our staff, fans and community whose homes are experiencing devastating flood waters. With this in mind, the following shows have been cancelled at the venue:
- Lady Antebellum scheduled for Sunday, August 27, 2017
- Jeff and Larry’s Backyard BBQ featuring Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy scheduled for Saturday, September 2, 2017.
Refunds for both shows are available at the point of purchase.

The Woodlands, Texas – Due to the anticipated weather event in Houston this weekend, and in the interest of Fan safety, Sunday’s Lady Antebellum YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR stop at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman has been canceled. Refunds will be made automatically at point of purchase.
The Woodlands, Texas – On Tuesday, August 8, leaders from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion officially opened the beautiful new Woodforest Bank Club, a nearly 15,000 square foot facility reserved for The Pavilion’s season ticket and box seat holders during the concert and performing arts season.
The Woodlands, Texas – Have a “Homegrown” good time at The Pavilion Partners Pre-Concert Dinner & Fundraiser Saturday, September 16 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Presented by Gullo Ford, the event will take place in The Pavilion Event Center, Encore Suite prior to the Zac Brown Band concert with Darrell Scott.
The Woodlands, Texas – The popular children’s book “The Composer is Dead” will come to life on The Pavilion’s Main Stage Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Children and adults will go on a literary journey with the Houston Symphony to investigate who killed the famed composer. Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $20 for reserved orchestra seating and the lawn and mezzanine are free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
The Woodlands, Texas –The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, home of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, has named Carmen Smiley the new volunteer coordinator. In this position, Smiley will serve as a liaison between The Pavilion Partners volunteer group and staff of The Pavilion.
The Woodlands, Texas – Kick off America’s birthday celebration at Star-Spangled Salute as the Houston Symphony takes the Main Stage, Monday, July 3, 2017, at 8 p.m. This free Independence Eve spectacular, which has been a tradition at The Pavilion for 27 years, features the Houston Symphony in a selection of patriotic favorites, presented by The Woodlands Development Company. Tickets are not required for this event. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
On June 17, Principal POPS Conductor Steven Reineke and the Houston Symphony will premiere a brand-new orchestra show created just for Houston-born band The Suffers that is sure to excite both new and old fans alike. Sponsored by Insperity, tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $25 for reserved orchestra seating and the lawn and mezzanine are free. Gates open at 7 p.m.
Acclaimed actor, producer, director and narrator, Danny DeVito, will join famed film composer David Newman and the Houston Symphony at the world premiere of Matilda: Film with Live Orchestra at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on June 9 at 8 p.m. Come early to enjoy the Hats Off to Reading Celebration where kids can receive a free book and participate in games and crafts. Tickets are $20 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Due to the popularity of this show, attendees utilizing free seating are encouraged to arrive early to ensure entry.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – On Thursday, August 29, all are welcome to attend a screening of Steven Spielberg’s very own Raiders of the Lost Ark at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The Houston Symphony will be performing the movie's suspenseful score live, as the action of Indiana Jones unfolds on the venue’s big screens. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Reserved orchestra seating tickets are $20. Gates open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. performance sponsored by Anadarko.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transforming into a giant playground for the 24th
Annual Children’s Festival presented by ExxonMobil and the whole neighborhood is invited to hop on board! This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 10 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 9 at 10 a.m.
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – On Wednesday, September 11, all are invited to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for a special salute to heroes with an action-packed program by the Houston Symphony. A Symphony of Heroes will feature musical scores from a variety of iconic movies including Superman, Spider-Man, The Avengers and The Incredibles as well as a tribute to everyday community heroes. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Reserved orchestra seating tickets are $20. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance sponsored by Huntsman.
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The internationally acclaimed United States Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus of Washington, DC will continue its long tradition of presenting free public performances when it appears at The Pavilion on Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. This is a free event and tickets are not required.
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Since 1990, each summer, young professional musicians descend upon the University of Houston campus for a four-week intensive orchestral fellowship program. Each musician accepted into the program receives a fellowship that offers a dynamic opportunity to learn from distinguished artists from the Moores and Shepherd schools of music faculty as well as members of the Houston Symphony. The program features a concert at The Pavilion where the Texas Music Festival Orchestra will take the Main Stage for a free concert Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. under the direction of Conductor Franz Anton Krager. Tickets are not required for free seating.
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Woodlands Chamberfest recently returned to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for an eighth year of lessons from notable Julliard alumni. Thirty-six students attended the week-long chamber music program for students in grades 7 through 12 who play violin, viola, cello and bass. As one of The Pavilion’s educational outreach programs, the summer music camp is dedicated to teaching communication, collaboration and leadership through chamber music.
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – On Friday, June 7, local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts attended Scout Day at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion to earn their Music Merit Badge before the Texas Music Festival Orchestra took the Main Stage. With a record-breaking 120 scouts in attendance, this year’s event, which reflects The Pavilion’s commitment to education, was a resounding success.
