County Music Fans and Arts Supporters Inspired by Country Crooners Host Pre-Concert Fund-Raiser Sept. 7

Dust off your cowboy hat, pull up your boots and get ready for a “Boot Scootin’ Boogie!” The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Board of Directors and The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Pavilion, go country with a pre-concert fund-raiser prior to the Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn concert Sept. 7. The fund-raiser is from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in The Pavilion’s Event Tent. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets to this country western fund-raiser are $200 each and include dinner before the show, covered reserved seating for the concert and VIP club tickets. Tickets for the dinner only (without concert tickets) are available for $115. Also available are tables for eight that are $1,600 and include signage, dinner for eight and eight VIP concert tickets and club passes.

During the hoe-down celebration, exclusive items are auctioned off, including a backstage Meet & Greet with the bands, sports and concert memorabilia, travel and theater packages and other themed items. Proceeds from the fund-raiser benefit the educational outreach programs of The Pavilion, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. These educational programs include Fine Arts Education Day, Musical Scores, Children’s Festival and more.

Alan Jackson, known for hits like “Chattahoochee,” “Gone Country” and “Don’t Rock the Jukebox,” has sold over 45 million records, recorded 31 No. 1 songs, won 95 Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, Grammy, ASCAP, American Music, Billboard and other industry awards, and holds the record for most Country Music Association nominations. During Jackson’s 2007 tour, he teamed up with the biggest-selling duo in country music history, Brooks & Dunn. Brooks & Dunn has sold over 28 million albums, received four Entertainer of the Year awards and shattered Duo of the Year records for the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards. A few of the duo’s hits include “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “Neon Moon” and “Brand New Man.”

The Pavilion Partners, launched in 1998, is an important part of The Pavilion and its many educational programs. Partners supports The Pavilion through fund-raising for the performing arts and educational outreach programs, as well as awarding fine arts scholarships each spring. In addition to their fund-raising efforts, The Pavilion Partners provides event volunteers for performances and programs at The Pavilion throughout the year.
