Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band has postponed their Thursday, October 19 performance at The Pavilion. Bob Seger announced today that he will have to postpone upcoming tour dates upon receiving his doctor’s orders to attend to an urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae.  No further details are available at this time.  Rescheduled dates will be announced when available. Tickets sold for concerts that are being rescheduled will be honored at the new dates.

Message from our CEO regarding security at The Pavilion

On behalf of Jerry MacDonald, CEO & President of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion:

We are truly saddened by the tragedy that unfolded in Las Vegas last night; our thoughts are with the victims and families that have been affected by this devastating incident. The safety of our guests, staff and artists has been and will always be our top priority at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. We will continue to implement heightened security at all events. Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band Goo Goo Dolls and Phillip Phillips assisted Pavilion staff members with the collection of thousands of needed items at a special donation drive held before the band’s concert September 7. Concertgoers were encouraged to bring non-perishable donation items to the show to help support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

In light of the extensive devastation throughout the state of Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the Eric Church show is postponed.  It is rescheduled to Friday, April 27, 2018.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has had no physical damage to the venue from the impact of Hurricane Harvey and is in good shape. Our current focus is on our staff, fans and community whose homes are experiencing devastating flood waters. With this in mind, the following shows have been cancelled at the venue:

  • Lady Antebellum scheduled for Sunday, August 27, 2017
  • Jeff and Larry’s Backyard BBQ featuring Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy scheduled for Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Refunds for both shows are available at the point of purchase.

Our continued thoughts are with our fellow Texans.

Take a Literary Journey with the Houston Symphony July 19 at The Pavilion

The Woodlands, Texas – The popular children’s book “The Composer is Dead” will come to life on The Pavilion’s Main Stage Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Children and adults will go on a literary journey with the Houston Symphony to investigate who killed the famed composer. Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $20 for reserved orchestra seating and the lawn and mezzanine are free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrate America at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Annual Star-Spangled Salute July 3

The Woodlands, Texas – Kick off America’s birthday celebration at Star-Spangled Salute as the Houston Symphony takes the Main Stage, Monday, July 3, 2017, at 8 p.m.  This free Independence Eve spectacular, which has been a tradition at The Pavilion for 27 years, features the Houston Symphony in a selection of patriotic favorites, presented by The Woodlands Development Company. Tickets are not required for this event. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Get Ready to Rock with The Suffers and Houston Symphony June 17!

On June 17, Principal POPS Conductor Steven Reineke and the Houston Symphony will premiere a brand-new orchestra show created just for Houston-born band The Suffers that is sure to excite both new and old fans alike. Sponsored by Insperity, tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $25 for reserved orchestra seating and the lawn and mezzanine are free. Gates open at 7 p.m.

Danny DeVito LIVE on The Pavilion's Main Stage for Matilda: Film with Live Orchestra June 9!

Acclaimed actor, producer, director and narrator, Danny DeVito, will join famed film composer David Newman and the Houston Symphony at the world premiere of Matilda: Film with Live Orchestra at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on June 9 at 8 p.m. Come early to enjoy the Hats Off to Reading Celebration where kids can receive a free book and participate in games and crafts. Tickets are $20 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Due to the popularity of this show, attendees utilizing free seating are encouraged to arrive early to ensure entry.

Genalyte Expands COVID-19 Antibody Testing in The Woodlands with New Testing Site at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Genalyte, the company empowering physicians and patients with real-time diagnostics and healthcare analytics, today announced the opening of a new COVID-19 antibody testing site at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion (The Woodlands Pavillion). Genalyte’s SARS-CoV-2 Multi-Antigen Serology Panel, which tests for antibodies the body can produce in response to SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19), is being offered at The Woodlands Pavillion (2005 Lake Robbins Dr.), with appointments available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Monday, August 31.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Though The Pavilion’s Main Stage is currently dark, the non-profit organization is strongly committed to continuing to provide cultural enrichment for both young audiences and the public at large by increasing exposure to the arts. The Pavilion to Host ROCO Livestreamed Concert "Starburst" on the Main Stage

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – ROCO’s (River Oaks Chamber Orchestra) In Concert series, which showcases the full 40-piece orchestra in livestreamed performances, kicks off September 26, 2020, from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Main Stage with Starburst.
