The Pavilion Partners is the official volunteer organization of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Launched in 1998, Partners offers opportunities for those who share a love for the performing arts to give back, support The Pavilion, and network with others who have similar interests.
With numerous educational outreach programs that enrich the lives of thousands of people each year, The Pavilion plays an essential role in making the performing arts accessible to the community. Partners is an integral part of making these programs happen, with hundreds of members serving as volunteers at events throughout the year.
There are many different ways to be a member of Partners. Many volunteers join solely by making a financial contribution to The Pavilion. Others choose to serve on committees to help with events and fundraisers. Still others volunteer at the various events at The Pavilion, including both performing arts events and contemporary concerts.
Many Partners serve on the various planning committees, including those for events like Children’s Festival, fundraisers like the Wine Dinner & Auction, and year-long programs like the Partners Scholarship Program. These committees meet independently throughout the year to plan their respective events or programs. This is a great way to bring past or current professional experience to help Partners expand its reach.
Performing Arts Volunteers:
As a performing arts volunteer, you can help with pre-concert activities and assist with educational outreach programs. Volunteers can interact with kids at the Instrument Petting Zoo or help coordinate arts and crafts. Partners also serve as escorts during the educational outreach programs and help teachers throughout the event.
Contemporary Concert Volunteers:
Partners who volunteer at contemporary concerts need to complete additional training in order to work the Information Booths. Not only do these booths serve as the item check for guests, it also serves as a hub for all important guest information. Partners are crucial to the operation of these booths. All Partners actively volunteering at events or serving on a committee must pass a background check, be at least 18 years old, and be a current Partners member.
