GUESTS WINED AND DINED CENTER STAGE AT THE PAVILION AND RAISED NEARLY $130,000 FOR THE ARTS
Guests experienced a one-of-a-kind event dining on the Main Stage at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in support of the arts at The Pavilion Partners 14th Annual Wine Dinner & Auction March 25. Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, home of The Pavilion, raised more than $129,000 at the event. Funds raised from the live auction, bid board, named scholarships and raffle, which totaled approximately $89,300, benefit The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Program. Since its inception, Partners has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to students studying the arts. The remaining net proceeds generated from ticket sales and the silent auction, approximately $40,000, benefit The Pavilion’s educational outreach programs.
“What a terrific night we had at the 14th Annual Wine Dinner & Auction! We had more than 210 guests in attendance, making it our largest Wine Dinner ever, and set a new record for the amount of money raised at the same time,” said Randy Lowry, co-chairman of the event. “The stage was beautiful and Fleming’s served an incredible meal. We truly appreciate the support from the community, our sponsors, volunteers and guests. We can not wait for next year’s event."
The live auction, bid board and silent auction featured trips to Napa and Las Vegas, four private dinners, Astros and Rockets sports packages, an autographed Jimmy Buffett guitar, a custom-made ring from Robichau’s Jewelry, diamond and pearl earrings from Donoho’s Jewellers, lavish wine baskets and more. The live auction, led by masterful auctioneer and Pavilion board member Ralph McIngvale, began with the sale of artwork donated by Partners Fine Arts Scholarship recipient Augustine Solis.
The 14th Annual Wine Dinner & Auction honored Jacque and Lloyd Everson for their generous support of the arts, The Pavilion and the entire community. The Eversons devote much of their time to the organizations and charities they have come to love the most. The honorees were recognized at the event where Lowry announced that a scholarship would be awarded in their honor. Each year, Partners bestows a special scholarship in the name of individuals who have made a special commitment to The Pavilion during the year.
