The Symphony is Coming to Town for
Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular Dec. 12
Ring in the holidays with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular featuring the Houston Symphony Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. with a heart-warming celebration featuring the sounds of the season. Frolic in our Winter Wonderland, complete with snow, as the symphony performs holiday classics and popular carols.
Tickets are $15 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Woodforest National Bank, KPMG, LLP and TalismanUSA. Tickets are not required for free seating. Gates open at 6 p.m.
The evening’s musical holiday merriment features the Houston Symphony performing holiday classics and popular tunes conducted by Robert Franz. Also, joining the symphony is The Woodlands High School Choir. Warm your spirit with joyful sounds of songs such as March of the Toys from “Babes in Toyland,” Little Boléro Boy from “A Classical Christmas Suite,” "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," Believe from “The Polar Express,” “Here Comes Santa Claus” and more. At the end of the evening, join the symphony for a holiday sing-along.
On Dec.12, The Pavilion is magically transformed into a Winter Wonderland where the plazas are all decked out for holiday fun. Guests can visit with Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman and other holiday characters. Create holiday arts and crafts, make snow with Madame Newton-Einstein Science Academy for Kids, have your picture taken with Frosty the Snowman with Fidelity Investments, listen to the Christian Youth Theater sing carols, play in the snow, make a snowman or snow angel. The snow is sponsored by Hubbell & Hudson.
All aboard for a ride on the Candy Cane Express around The Pavilion for a merry good time starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Gold Lot. The North Plaza is sponsored by Fidelity Investments, Renewal by Andersen and Century 21 Realty Partners. Plaza activities also feature The Pavilion Partners, Woodforest National Bank, The Woodlands College Park High School Orchestra and Audi of America, official automobile sponsor of The Pavilion.
Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $5 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and The Pavilion Box Office. Guests also may park in any of the five free parking lots on the southwest side of The Pavilion. The free, color-coded lots are connected to The Pavilion by corresponding pathways with signs leading across The Waterway.
