Join the hottest party of the year at The Pavilion Partners Pre-Concert Dinner & Fund-Raiser prior to the Rod Stewart concert July 24. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Board of Directors and The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Pavilion, invite you and your “Hot Legs” to a night of classic pop rock. Social Hour begins at 5:30 p.m. in The Pavilion’s Event Tent followed by the dinner and the auction at 6:30 p.m. The concert begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets to this fund-raiser are $200 per person and include covered reserved seating for the concert, dinner and VIP Club Passes. “Some Guys Have All Luck” and you can too bidding on exclusive items during the live and silent auction including sports and concert memorabilia, travel and theater packages and other themed items. Proceeds from the fund-raiser benefit the educational outreach programs of The Pavilion, a nonprofit organization. These educational programs include Fine Arts Education Day, Musical Scores, Children’s Festival and Music in Motion.

Don’t forget to bring your wallets for the rockin’ auction. Emmy award-winning reporter and anchor for KTRK 13 Eyewitness News, Art Rascon, serves as the honorary auctioneer for the evening. Rascon previously worked as a correspondent for “The Evening News with Dan Rather.” He has reported from more than 50 countries, five continents and nearly every state in the Union. He has been nominated for 25 Emmys and has won 19. Rascon is a popular motivational speaker, an active participant and board member of various Houston charity groups, a former vice president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and board member of The Radio and Television News Directors Association.

Throughout his forty-year career, Stewart has garnered six consecutive number one albums and 62 hit singles including 31 that reached the top 10, six of which gained the number one position.
