The Pavilion Celebrates Halloween with a Spooktacular Movie Night Under the Stars

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Celebrate Halloween at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with a movie night under the stars Friday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m., presented by Howard Hughes Corporation. Families are encouraged to come in costume for a screening of Monsters, Inc. on the venue’s 3 large LED screens. Tickets are $20 for a family pack of four seats – available on the lawn or in the reserved seating area –

and includes popcorn for the family to enjoy. Lawn pods include four lawn chairs. Gates open at 6 p.m.

The Pavilion’s Main Stage Lights Up Again

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion’s Main Stage lights up again as ROCO (River Oaks Chamber Orchestra) kicks off its In-Concert series live from The Pavilion Main Stage. Rehearsals began Thursday, September 24 with the live-stream concert this Saturday, September 26.  The performance of Starburst will showcase the full 40-piece orchestra and will be conducted by ROCO Artistic Partner Mei-Ann Chen. The Pavilion Lights Up Red to Support Live Event Industry

The Pavilion Awards Scholarships to Fine Arts Students

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is proud to announce the awarding of over $156,000 in scholarship funds to local high seniors pursuing the fine arts in higher education. Part of The Pavilion’s mission is to provide support to young artists as they pursue college degrees in the arts and this opportunity is awarded to students through The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Program.

All Aboard The Pavilion Express to Children’s Festival Presented by ExxonMobil This Weekend Nov. 9-10

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transforming into a giant playground for the 24th Annual Children’s Festival presented by ExxonMobil and the whole neighborhood is invited to hop on board! This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 10 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 9 at 10 a.m.

Houston Symphony Pays Tribute to Tom Petty on The Pavilion Main Stage April 20

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Celebrate the music of rock legend Tom Petty in this exhilarating musical tribute sponsored by Huntsman. The Houston Symphony will return to The Pavilion Main Stage on Saturday, April 20 for an evening honoring Petty’s life and featuring a variety of his classic hits including “American Girl,” “Free Fallin’” and “Learning to Fly.” Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Reserved orchestra seating tickets are $20. The performance will begin at 8 p.m. and gates open at 7 p.m.

Hundreds Supported the Arts at The Pavilion Partners 20th Anniversary Wine Dinner and Auction

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, held the 20th Annual Wine Dinner and Auction March 24 on The Pavilion’s Main Stage. This year’s exclusive dinner had record-breaking attendance and raised more than $250,000 to fund scholarships for local students pursuing the fine arts in higher education.

'The Dream Continues' as The Pavilion Celebrates 30th Performing Arts Season

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – George P. Mitchell, founder of The Woodlands, along with his wife Cynthia Woods Mitchell, for whom The Pavilion is named, dreamed of creating a first-class performing arts facility for The Woodlands since the community’s inception in 1974. They envisioned the facility as a venue for classical performances and educational events, as well as popular music.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is now ranked fourth in the top 100 amphitheaters in the world based on the number of tickets sold in 2018, according to Pollstar magazine, the concert industry’s leading trade publication. The Pavilion’s ticket sales have totaled 467,620 for concerts between November 23, 2017 and November 21, 2018.
