THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion’s Main Stage lights up again as ROCO (River Oaks Chamber Orchestra) kicks off its In-Concert series live from The Pavilion Main Stage. Rehearsals began Thursday, September 24 with the live-stream concert this Saturday, September 26.  The performance of Starburst will showcase the full 40-piece orchestra and will be conducted by ROCO Artistic Partner Mei-Ann Chen. The free event is fully virtual and can be viewed on ROCO’s social media channels or website, at www.roco.org/live.  

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – On the evening of Tuesday, September 1, 2020, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion lit up red in support of the performing arts industry as part of the nationwide #RedAlertRESTART campaign. The call to action aims to raise awareness of the economic impact of the coronavirus on venues and their employees throughout the country.  

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is proud to announce the awarding of over $156,000 in scholarship funds to local high seniors pursuing the fine arts in higher education. Part of The Pavilion’s mission is to provide support to young artists as they pursue college degrees in the arts and this opportunity is awarded to students through The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Program.   

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, will hold its 21^st Annual Wine Dinner and Auction Sunday, March 22 at 5 p.m. on The Pavilion’s Main Stage. This exclusive dinner funds scholarships for local students pursuing the fine arts in higher education.    

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transforming into a giant playground for the 24^th Annual Children’s Festival presented by ExxonMobil and the whole neighborhood is invited to hop on board! This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 10 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 9 at 10 a.m.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion is thankful for the hundreds of employees who return each season to help enhance each visitor’s concert experience at the venue. From ticket takers to parking lot attendants to law enforcement personnel, it takes a large group of dedicated people to make each show a spectacular one for guests. THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Get ready for tricks, treats and symphonic suites at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Hocus Pocus Pops Friday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by HEB and Woodforest National Bank, the night will feature the Houston Symphony in a mesmerizing performance of horrifying horns, bewitching bassoons and chilling cellos. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Tickets are $20 for reserved orchestra seating. Gates will open at 6 p.m.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion invites Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to earn their Music Merit Badge before the Texas Music Festival Orchestra takes the stage on Friday, June 7.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Celebrate the music of rock legend Tom Petty in this exhilarating musical tribute sponsored by Huntsman. The Houston Symphony will return to The Pavilion Main Stage on Saturday, April 20 for an evening honoring Petty’s life and featuring a variety of his classic hits including “American Girl,” “Free Fallin’” and “Learning to Fly.” Mezzanine and lawn seating are free. Reserved orchestra seating tickets are $20. The performance will begin at 8 p.m. and gates open at 7 p.m.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The internationally acclaimed United States Army Field Band and Soldier's Chorus of Washington, DC will continue its long tradition of presenting free public performances when it appears at The Pavilion as part of the venue’s 30th Performing Arts Season on Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. This is a free event and tickets are not required. Gates will open at 6 p.m.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, held the 20th Annual Wine Dinner and Auction March 24 on The Pavilion’s Main Stage. This year’s exclusive dinner had record-breaking attendance and raised more than $250,000 to fund scholarships for local students pursuing the fine arts in higher education.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Pavilion will kick off its 30th season of presenting the arts to The Woodlands and beyond with a community celebration featuring a special performance by The Boston Pops on Tour Thursday, March 21, at 8 p.m.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – George P. Mitchell, founder of The Woodlands, along with his wife Cynthia Woods Mitchell, for whom The Pavilion is named, dreamed of creating a first-class performing arts facility for The Woodlands since the community’s inception in 1974. They envisioned the facility as a venue for classical performances and educational events, as well as popular music.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is now ranked fourth in the top 100 amphitheaters in the world based on the number of tickets sold in 2018, according to Pollstar magazine, the concert industry’s leading trade publication. The Pavilion’s ticket sales have totaled 467,620 for concerts between November 23, 2017 and November 21, 2018.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – Last week, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion hosted two Fine Arts Education Day events with performances by the Houston Symphony for over 5,600 fourth and sixth graders from 37 schools across Conroe Independent School District and over 3,000 fifth graders from 25 schools across Spring ISD.
