Children’s Festival - The first Children’s Festival committee meeting went well, thank you to everyone who attended. We are off to a good start, if you didn’t make the first one please come to our next meeting, which is set for Wed., Aug. 22 at noon here at The Pavilion. If you would like to find out more about Children's Festival and what it means to be a "committee member" before you commit, you are welcome to come. This is a hard-working committee, but we have a lot of fun! Also, if you know of other members of Partners who might be interested in joining this committee, please invite them to the meeting.
Latin American Classical – Volunteers are needed for this Houston Symphony performance on Thursday, September 6th. If you have not had an opportunity to attend a symphony as a guest or as a volunteer, please join us.
Texas Music Festival – Volunteers are needed for this Houston Symphony performance on Friday, Sept 21. If you have not had an opportunity to attend a symphony as a guest or as a volunteer, please join us.
Music in Motion – 14 Volunteers are needed for a half day event Saturday, Sept 29th. Music in Motion provides student musicians in Conroe Independent School District with hands-on opportunities to work with professional conductors and musicians, please contact Leslie at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in volunteering.
Events Worked – A monthly update of the number of event credits earned by Partners volunteers will be sent out by the end of this month. If you do not receive an update or have any corrections or questions, please contact Leslie Williams, volunteer and special events coordinator, at email@example.com. It is recommended that volunteers keep their own record of events worked in case there is a discrepancy. Please let Leslie know if your badge is due for an upgrade.
Pavilion Partners August Social – Please join the Pavilion Partners for an Open Mic Night on Tuesday August 21st 6:30 at the Dosey Doe Music Café at 463 FM 1488 in The Woodlands. This location is the newest addition to the Dosey Doe family and you won’t believe your eyes when you walk in to the venue!! “The Heart of Rock and Roll” - The Pavilion Partners Pre-Concert Dinner & Fundraiser, guests helped raise $25,000 to benefit The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s performing arts events and educational outreach programs. The event titled “Heart of Rock n’ Roll” was held prior to the Joe Cocker & Huey Lewis and the News concert July 21. A special thanks to all the hard working volunteers and committee members.
Partners Volunteer Information Meeting – The next Partners Volunteer Information Meetings will be held on Thursday, September 13th in the Woodforest Bank Club located at The Pavilion. Two times are offered:
· 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
· 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Please invite your friends and neighbors to one of these information meetings to learn about becoming a Partners volunteer. We ask that attendees rsvp to Leslie Williams, volunteer and special events coordinator, at email@example.com.
Partners Cookbook Committee Seeking Volunteers -The committee is looking for people that are excited about this fun and interesting project, members that have worked on cook book projects before (experience is always a plus), but also those with talents in writing, photography, marketing, graphic arts, online publishing, cooking…and tasting! Our goal is to put together all the ingredients to make a very special cook book highlighting performers that have played The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, telling The Pavilion story, and showcasing The Pavilion in the community. Please RSVP with your interest to join the committee and/or just show up on Monday August 20th at 1pm in The Woodforest Bank Club!
