The Woodlands, TX – On May 24, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transformed into Cirque du Symphony as aerial artistry meets symphonic music under The Pavilion's "big top"! Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski and the Houston Symphony are joined by a team of world-famous performers – including a soaring aerial artist, unbelievable strongmen and even a harlequin juggler – for a truly unique concert experience. See the Houston Symphony as you’ve never seen them before. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Lawn seating is free.

High-flying action and amusing circus ambiance fill the stage as "The Red Harlequin” juggler, Vladimir Tsarkov, and contortionist Elena Tsarkova, "The Lady in White," amaze concertgoers with their juggling mastery and acrobatic prowess. Aerial artist Alexander Streltsov’s natural strength and artistic expression abound as he soars through the air. And strongmen Jarek and Darek, veteran Cirque du Soleil performers, are national hand-balancing champions. These world-famous performers have captivated audiences around the world and are performing at The Pavilion to the music of the renowned Houston Symphony.

The program includes whimsical favorites such as “Barnum & Bailey’s Favorite,” “Valse” from “Masquerade,” “Under the Big Top” and “Dance of the Comedians” from “The Bartered Bride.” Other familiar pieces include “Across the Stars” from “Star Wars: Episode II, Attack of the Clones,” Ravel’s “Boléro” and more.

Pre-concert activities in the North Plaza include "clown" face painting at The Pavilion Partners tent and the hand-eye coordination sport of Cup Stacking and juggling activities at the Learning Express Jack & Jill Club. Guests can meet Roly the Clown as he entertains kids of all ages and register-to-win Tommy Bahama’s “Best Seats in the House.” All pre-concert activities are free to anyone attending the evening’s performance.
