That’s right moms and dads it’s almost time to gather your kids and head to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for the 18th Annual Children’s Festival, presented by ExxonMobil, Nov. 9 & 10. This star-studded, family-friendly event is going to be one for the record books and you don’t want to miss it.
Admission is $8 per person in advance or $10 per person at the door. Children under two are admitted free of charge. Your ticket covers a variety of activities and performances for the whole day. No need to worry about tokens, tickets at Children’s Festival, because The Pavilion has you covered.
Kids are in for the time of their lives with performers on multiple stages, characters strolling around and activities located all around the venue. There’s surely something for each child to enjoy.
Radio Disney Houston is onsite for performances on the Pepsi Main Stage by Disney Junior’s Imagination Movers and Zendaya, star of Disney Channel’s hit series “Shake It Up” and finalist on season 16 of “Dancing with The Stars.”
Imagination Movers are four blue-suited musicians Smitty, Dave, Scott and Rich whose job is to find innovative solutions to silly and practical problems while performing catchy songs. Imagination Movers is a hip, high-energy series that demonstrates how teamwork and creative thinking can help solve problems. They are set to perform Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.
Zendaya, a multi-talented actress and singer is performing her hits like “Replay,” “Swag It Out” and “Watch Me.” Her debut album titled “Zendaya” was released Sept. 17, 2013. Her performance takes place Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.
Kids can discover the Disney Doc McStuffins Clinic for stuffed animals and toys. Doc is a young girl who is the "Doctor Doolittle" for toys. Her backyard playhouse becomes her clinic where she uses her special ability to communicate with toy friends to help them when they have physical or emotional bangs and bruises. Kids are encouraged to bring their own toys for a check-up with the Doc. The Doc McStuffins Clinic is open Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.
Just around the corner from the Pepsi Main stage, enjoy hands-on arts and crafts, games, costumed characters and more in the amusing creative zones all around The Pavilion.
Experiment with science-related activities in the ExxonMobil STEM Zone featuring the Big Canyon Balloon where kids can explore inside the canyon and discover a fossil record and oil deposit. Also featured is the Children’s Museum of Houston, Fidelity Investments with free balloons, hat-making, performances on the ARAMARK Community Stage and more.
If arts and crafts are what your child fancies then make sure to head over to The Villager Arts Alley. Kids are encouraged to unleash their inner artist and create their own masterpieces. They will learn about lines, colors, shapes, patterns, unity, balance and more by using these elements to make imaginative creations. Kids can visit The Woodlands Children’s Museum to create more art.
Take a walk to the Anadarko Adventure Zone for wild adventures and activities. You can make slime and silly putty with Mad Science of Houston, create your own work of art in the sidewalk chalk area, play interactive games, get your face painted and more.
If your child has been struck by a bolt of energy then stop by the Healthy KidZone so they can learn about health and physical fitness with games and activities like Bubble Runners and Bumper Boats, get a chance to meet professional sports teams, learn the techniques of martial arts, performing gymnastics moves and health and wellness checks.
The Activity Tent is the place to be for a train ride, hands-on activities and games organized by local businesses including a fashion show, brain teasers, a coloring contest, instrument petting zoo, a coloring contest and lots of other great activities.
The Wells Fargo Fun Zone is filled with excitement. Stop by and enjoy balloons, hat-making and performances on the Community Stage. At the top of the hill you can build your own kite and see it take flight, as well as dig for gold and participate in parachute races.

Tickets for the 18th Annual Children’s Festival are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. This admission fee includes every show and activity for the day. Children age 2 and under are free. Picnics are welcome, but beverages can not be brought into the venue.
Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $5 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and The Pavilion Box. Guests also may park in any of the five free parking lots on the southwest side of The Pavilion. The free, color-coded lots are connected to The Pavilion by corresponding pathways with signs leading across The Waterway.
