Badge Pick up – We had a successful badge pick up day, if you weren’t able to come, please schedule a time.Please contact Leslie Williams at [email protected] to make special arrangements. Returning members are to return their 2013 badge or pay $5 for a lost badge.
New Members Party - Mark your calendars for the Partners New Member Party honoring our new members. All Partners are invited! It will be held on Friday, May 30 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Woodforest Bank Club located at The Pavilion. Watch for an Evite with more details. Be sure to make plans to attend as this is always an awesome, fun-filled evening and great opportunity to meet our new Partners.
Congratulations Scholarship Recipients – The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship committee awarded $90,000 in scholarships at a reception held April 28 in the Woodforest Bank Club. Twenty three new scholarships totaling $58,000 were awarded to high school seniors who plan to pursue degrees in the performing and visual arts. An additional 32 $1,000 renewal scholarships were awarded to students continuing their degree program. Our appreciation is extended to the many donors who support this program. Additional thanks go to the Partners scholarship committee and its chairmen, Lisa Koetting, Lyn Hullinger and Stephanie Teed.
New Members Performing Arts Training – The next trainilng will be held on Monday, May 19. There are two informational meetings for new Partners interested in being a Performing Arts Volunteer. If you are just exploring Partners your are welcome also.
Volunteers may choose to attend at 1 or 6 p.m. Each session lasts approximately an hour and a half. This is a great way to find out more about our volunteer program. A mini-tour of The Pavilion will be included. If you plan to attend or would like more information, please contact Leslie Williams at 281-210-1125 or [email protected].
Texas Music Festival – We need lots of Partners to volunteer for this event!
More than 100 gifted musicians from around the world are showcased in a free concert titled Ring Without Words. In conjunction with the Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival, an intensive four-week study program at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music, the Texas Music Festival Orchestra takes the stage June 13. “All Night Long” – Partners Pre-Concert Dinner & Fundraiser will be held prior to the Lionel Richie with CeeLo Green concert. We have two levels of tickets this year, the first level is $200 per person and include mezzanine seating at the concert and the second level is $250 per person and include orchestra seating at the concert, plus the dinner and VIP club pass. The event will be held in the House of Blues Hospitality Tent at The Pavilion. Funds raised will benefit The Pavilion’s performing arts and educational outreach programs. Guests may RSVP online by visiting www.woodlandscenter.org. Tickets are limited so make plans to attend! If you are interested in serving on this committee, the next meeting will be held May 14 at 6 p.m. at The Pavilion.
Musical Scores – Was a great success thanks to all the hard working Partners and the Aon Hewitt team. The students enjoyed and incredible day of entertainment and inspiration. It could not happen with out you!
Fine Arts Education Day - Volunteers are needed for Fine Arts Education Day on Tuesday, May 20 at The Pavilion when fourth and sixth grade students from Conroe ISD will visit The Pavilion for a Houston symphony performance. Partners will welcome students off their buses and direct them to their seats. The event begins at 11 a.m. and is over at noon. Please arrive at 9 a.m. for orientation with breakfast in the Woodforest Bank Club and plan to remain until 12:30 p.m. Parking is in the Gold Lot parking garage located off Six Pines. Event and performing arts volunteers are to sign up online at www.woodlandscenter.org/staff.
