Thanks to all our volunteers for offering their time and talent to promote Partners mission of “Bringing People and the Arts Together.”
Partners Annual Meeting - The Partners Annual Meeting of its members will be held on Friday, Feb.28 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Woodforest Bank Club located at The Pavilion. The evening begins with a social hour. Complimentary appetizers and beverages will be served. The business meeting will follow which includes the election of new directors to the Partners Board and information about all of our volunteer committees. Come hear the latest updates for the 2014 season while meeting and greeting fellow Partners. Guests are welcome and invited to come learn more about volunteering with Partners.
Membership - As The Pavilion begins its 2014 Season, it is now time for Partners to renew their memberships. This can be done online or by submitting a 2014 Membership Form by mail or in to the office.
New Members Performing Arts Training – Trainings for new performing arts volunteers are now scheduled for Feb. 19 and March 19. These are offered for Partners interested in volunteering at performing arts and educational events at The Pavilion or serving on a Partners committee. Volunteers may choose to attend either day at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. Each session lasts approximately 1 ½ hours. A mini-tour of The Pavilion will be included. New Event Volunteer Training – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion will host its Open House & Departmental Training for new employees and new event volunteers on Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. This is a mandatory training for volunteers who wish to work at contemporary concerts as well as performing arts concerts & educational events at The Pavilion. 16th Annual Wine Dinner – Partners 16th Annual Wine Dinner will be held on Sunday, April 6 on the main stage of The Pavilion. This will be an evening of fine dining with hors d’oeuvres, dinner and premier wines which benefits Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Program and The Pavilion’s educational outreach programs. Reservations are now being accepted on line at www.woodlandscenter.org or by contacting Leslie Williams. The cost is $200 per person. Tables may be reserved to seat eight guests. Seating is limited.
Auction items are needed for this event. If you have access to premium wine, sports tickets or memorabilia; condos for skiing, fishing or the beach; special golf packages; boat trips; spa packages; etc. please contact co-chairman, Randy Lowry at firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations are tax deductible and would be greatly appreciated.
Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival – Save the Date: April 12 & 13, 2014. The Pavilion Partners is a charity partner for The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival and is required to enlist volunteers in order to qualify for a donation from the festival’s proceeds. This is a popular volunteer event for our organization! You are to sign up on the Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival website beginning on February 15 at www.woodlandsartsfestival.com. There are a variety of shifts and job choices from which to choose. In addition to the weekend shifts, you may also volunteer to help with the set up on Th. April 10 & Fri. April 11. Be sure to designate The Pavilion Partners as your charity partner of choice. Volunteers do not need to belong to Partners to work at the festival so please invite your family and friends to volunteer and benefit Partners.
Year End Volunteer Appreciation Party – Thanks goes to Sarah Epley and the social committee for hosting a great volunteer year end appreciation party on January 26 at Mamma J’s BBQ & Grill. Each Partners has dedicated many hours volunteering at contemporary, performing arts and educational events as well as planning fundraising events and a variety of activities which benefit our mission. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
2014 Pavilion Gala - The event was held on Saturday Feb. 8 and was a huge success thanks in part to Pavilion Partner Volunteers. Partners helped with decorating, raffle, live auction, greeting, corsage sales, tear down and much more to help create a memorable prom night for our guests and raise money for the arts. The funds raised will be used for The Pavilion’s performing arts events, educational outreach and new this year a portion of the proceeds will go to the The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarships
