From the Desk of Your Partners’ President:
Hello everyone, I want to introduce myself. My name is John Robichau and I am the new President of The Pavilion Partners Board of Directors. I have been on the board for four years and I am honored to have been voted President this past February.
I grew up in the area graduating from Oak Ridge High School in 1996. While in high school I worked in security for The Pavilion. After high school I went to Lamar University and obtained my degree in Marketing in 2001. After college I moved back to The Woodlands and eventually got into the family business.
My father started Robichau's Jewelry in 1986. I have been in the business for 11 years. As a company we have been very active in the community in many aspects. I love live music of all genres and I am awed by the talent these people have. I live in Imperial Oaks with my wife Alysia Robichau and my daughter Brianna (3yrs) and my little boy Cameron (8months).
I am eager to grow Partners and look forward to meeting you.
Partners March Social this Saturday, March 30 – Please join the Pavilion Partners for our 3rd Annual Brewery Tour at the Southern Star Brewery in Conroe, Texas. Plan on meeting at 12:45 p.m. at the Brewery, the taps open at 1 p.m., and the tour starts at 2 p.m.. Taps close at 3 p.m., but I don't think they will ask us to leave until 4 p.m. The social committee will arrive early to try securing places to sit, but please try to arrive sooner than later so we can all sit together as a group. It is a very busy place and spots to sit go quickly! Bring a lawn chair, just in case.
El Sabor Cantino Truck will be present to provide some tasty food for sale.
This is a free event (except for food) so bring a friend!

15th Annual Wine Dinner - The Pavilion Partners 15th Annual Wine Dinner was a huge success. A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO PARTNERS WHO VOLUNTEERED at the event helping with everything from guest check in to spotting at the live auction: Annabelle and Chris Carrillo, Andi and Gabe Cuellar, Debra and Matt Dozier, Sean Connelly, Sarah Epley, Tina Dunne, Myron Murphy, Karen and Jim Listak, Angela and Mark Gott, Rhonda Richardson, Liz Regan, Sharon Schilling, Lillian Hargis, Irv and Linda Lichtman and Cindy Kirk.
New Members Performing Arts Training – Thursday, April 4. There are two informational meetings for new Partners interested in being a Performing Arts Volunteer. If you are just exploring Partners your are welcome also.
Volunteers may choose to attend at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. Each session lasts approximately an hour and a half. This is a great way to find out more about our volunteer program. Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival – April 13 & 14, 2013 Save the Date! As a charity partner, The Pavilion is required to enlist volunteers in order to qualify for a donation from a portion of the festival proceeds. Volunteer for the Arts Festival and select The Pavilion as the “charity” partner. Last year Partners donated more than 950 hours!!
Grammy nominee and Blues Music Award winner Ruthie Foster will be the concert headliner at the 8th annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival. Another benefit of volunteering at the arts festival is that you will also receive access to enjoy before or after your shift.
Badge Pick-Up Day April 18 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.-- New and returning Partners. New Partners also will receive their shirts. ou may sign up for events prior to receiving your badge if you have received your password and badge number. If you are new and have not attended training (next one is April 4), you will not receive a badge.
2013 Woman of Distinction Luncheon - Each year, the Montgomery County Women’s Council of Organizations (MCWCO) comes together for the Women of Distinction Luncheon to celebrate all the many accomplishments provided by volunteers to local charitable organizations performed during the year. This year’s Pavilion Partner Woman of Distinction award goes to Cindy Notarainni. Cindy has been involved with Partners for many years. She was involved all the way back to before Partners existed and the organization was called the “Living Arts Council.” Through the years, Cindy volunteers both her time and generous financial contributions to projects that benefit The Pavilion. Currently she serves on the Partners board of directors as secretary, and she is also very involved with Children’s Festival.
Please join us in honoring Cindy by attending the 2013 Women of Distinction luncheon on May 24 at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott. This year’s presentation will be highlighted by special guest entertainer Suzie Humphreys. Suzie is a comedienne, author, television talk show hostess and motivational speaker extraordinaire. She’s done lots of television and film work over the past 40 years, and weaves many of her experiences into funny, life changing stories. She is also a cancer survivor and delivers a message of hope and conviction for those “climbing u p the rough side of the mountain.”
