FINE ARTS Scholarship Applications Available

The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, home of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships in 2007 to 33 graduating high school seniors planning to major in the Fine Arts and 17 renewal scholarships to recipients studying Fine Arts in college. These exceptional students were awarded their scholarships based on talent and academic performance. Scholarships were given to students in the following categories: vocal and instrumental music, theatre arts, dance and visual arts.
Scholarships, awarded to students based on talent and academic performance, are available to students in Conroe, Klein, Magnolia, Montgomery, Spring, Tomball, and Willis school districts, McArthur and Carver high schools in Aldine ISD and private schools within each district's boundaries. Click here for the scholarship application. Applications can also be found at counselors' offices, career centers or Fine Arts instructors at eligible high schools.
The application deadline for the 2008 Pavilion Partners Scholarship Program is Feb. 6.
Former scholarship recipients are eligible to renew their award. Renewal scholarships applications are evaluated on current academic achievement, letters of recommendation and a personal letter or essay. Click here for the renewal application. Application and materials must be mailed by March 15, 2008.
