News for February 2015
Pollstar released the year-end numbers for 2014 and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has finished 2nd in the world in the top 100 outdoor amphitheaters based on total tickets sold. Congratulations to all for helping to make the 2014 season a huge success!

The Pavilion season will be here before you know it. Make sure you sign up again this year to volunteer; we need your help in bringing the arts to the community! Membership can be paid online or mailed. If you have anyone interested in being a Partner, we are offering monthly training opportunities to become a Performing Arts Volunteer to work symphonies and educational outreach programs. Also on March 7 there will be an open house with departmental training for those who want to work the contemporary concerts, so make sure and tell your friends. If you haven’t had the training, sign up ASAP as this Event Volunteer training only happens a couple times a year.

Annual Meeting – February 27 6-8 p.m. in the Woodforest Bank Club at The Pavilion.
The evening begins with a social hour followed by the business meeting. This is a great way to meet and greet fellow Partners. Come hear the latest updates on the new 2015 season. There will be opportunities to sign up for the educational outreach events, wine dinner and a variety of committees. Watch for an Evite with additional information. See you there!

High School Interns Create Pavilion Partner Commercial – Each year The Pavilion participates in the Education for Tomorrow Alliance Summer Internship program. This past year The Pavilion was honored to have two high school interns, Alexis Danz and Rachel Vaughn, who helped in many ways including helping to facilitate the annual Pre-Concert Fundraiser and Auction. Auction items are needed for this event. If you have access to sports tickets or memorabilia, condos for skiing, fishing or the beach, special golf packages, boat trips, spa packages, etc. please contact committee co-chairman Randy Lowry at firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations are tax deductible and would be greatly appreciated.
It takes over 600 volunteers to make the Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival happen. As a charity partner, The Pavilion Partners qualifies for a donation from the Festival proceeds based on the number of volunteer hours we provide. Partners as well as their friends, family and coworkers are invited to volunteer by registering at www.woodlandsartsfestival.com and selecting The Pavilion as their “charity” partner. All volunteers must be 18 years of age.
Last year Partners donated over 1000 hours!!
Another benefit of volunteering at WWAF is free admission into the festival on the day of your volunteer assignment with the opportunity to browse and shop before and/or after your assigned working shift. You will also receive a commemorative volunteer festival t-shirt.
