Renew Your Membership Today - Your continued support is appreciated and we hope you will join Partners again this season. Please remember that membership dues need to be received and processed before you may sign up for events and be issued your badge. To sign up on line, click here.
Badge Pick-Up Day: Friday, May 2 from 1-6 p.m. for new and returning Partners. New Partners also will receive their shirts. If you are a new volunteer and need your shirt for an event before May 2, please contact Leslie Williams at email@example.com to make special arrangements. Returning members are to return their 2013 badge or pay $5 for a lost badge.
Information Booth Policy Change - Please note, in an effort to better secure the facility and ensure safety of our guests, staff and artists we will no longer accept purses, backpacks or bags of any kind at our Information Booths.
Volunteers Needed for Spyro Gyra & Lee Ritenour Concert April 12. Twelve volunteers are needed for the Sypro Gyra & Lee Ritenour concert to assist with arts and crafts, the Tommy Bahama booth and Audi tent. This is a performing arts event and open to all qualified volunteers. To volunteer, please sign up on line at www.woodlandscenter.org/staff.
Partners Social at Kona Grill – You are invited to join us for the Partners Social Tuesday, April 29 from 5:30– 8 p.m. at Kona Grill located at 3 Waterway Square in The Woodlands. This is a great opportunity to meet our new volunteers as well as greet long time friends. Guests are welcome. Watch your email for an Evite with more information.
Craft Committee Special Request – Empty paper towel rolls and toilet tissue rolls are needed by the craft committee. Please drop them off at the Partners desk. Thanks!
2014 Woman of Distinction Luncheon - Each year, the Montgomery County Women’s Council of Organizations (MCWCO) presents the Women of Distinction Luncheon celebrating the many accomplishments provided by volunteers to local charitable organizations performed during the year. This year’s Pavilion Partner Woman of Distinction award goes to Sarah Epley.
Sarah has been involved with Partners since 2009. She is currently serving for her third term on the Partners Board of Directors and has served as treasurer and vice-president of the board. Sarah has been involved with the Pre-Concert Dinner & Fundraiser, Scholarship Committee and Social Committee of which she is currently serving as chairman. Sarah has also volunteered to support the Wine Dinner & Auction, Swing for the Arts Golf Tournament, Pavilion Gala as well as the Children’s Festival, Musical Scores, Fine Arts Education Day and Music in Motion. Sarah is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota and attributes her giving spirit to her parents. Sarah also is a volunteer for the Montgomery County Women’s Center as a Sexual Assault Advocate and for the Woodlands Art Festival. Please join us in honoring Sarah by attending the 2014 Women of Distinction luncheon on May 23 at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
This year’s luncheon theme is “Volunteer Dedication… It’s Timeless”. The guest speaker will be humorous author, Anne Barab. Tickets are only $50.Checks are payable to MCWCO and serve as your reservation. 16th Annual Wine Dinner & Auction held on The Pavilion’s Stage April 6 was a great success. Thanks go to co-chairmen, Randy Lowry and Candi Glenn, together with their planning committee. The money raised will benefit the Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Program and The Pavilion’s educational outreach programs.

New Members Performing Arts Training – Monday, April 14. There are two informational meetings for new Partners interested in being a Performing Arts Volunteer. If you are just exploring Partners you are welcome also. Volunteers may choose to attend at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. Each session lasts approximately an hour and a half. This is a great way to find out more about our volunteer program. A mini-tour of The Pavilion will be included. Hats Off to Reading – Volunteers are needed to help with the Hats Off to Reading Celebration preceding the Celebration of Stanton Welch performance by Houston Ballet May 1. Hats Off to Reading promotes student literacy and a love of reading. The event is held in the House of Blues Hospitality Tent. Children are able to take a free book home and participate in fun activities such as a book walk, coloring contest, hat making and face painting. Partners are needed from 5:30–7:30 p.m. to assist with the activities. To sign up, contact Leslie Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Musical Scores – It is time for Partners to sign up for Musical Scores scheduled for Monday, May 5. Musical Scores serves “at-risk”, underprivileged middle school students who earn the opportunity to attend a special event and concert at The Pavilion by displaying model behavior and achieving specific scholastic goals. Students are treated to a free performance, T-shirt and lunch. Come join the excitement as we welcome 5,700 students to The Pavilion for a day of fun! Please arrive at 8 a.m. for orientation and a delicious breakfast in the Woodforest Bank Club and plan to remain until around 2 p.m. Parking is in the God Lot parking garage located off Six Pines. Event and performing arts volunteers are to sign up online at www.woodlandscenter.org/staff.
Musical Scores Lunch Preparation – Lots and lots of volunteers are needed to help pack 5,700 sack lunches for the students attending Musical Scores. We will gather in the House of Blues Tent located inside the VIP gate at The Pavilion on Sunday, May 4 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. This is always a fun way to get together with other Partners. Dress is casual. If you are able to help out, please sign up online at www.woodlandscenter.org./staff.
Fine Arts Education Day - Volunteers are needed for Fine Arts Education Day on Tuesday, May 20 at The Pavilion when fourth and sixth grade students from Conroe ISD will visit The Pavilion for a Houston symphony performance. Partners will welcome students off their buses and direct them to their seats. The event begins at 11a.m. and is over at noon. Please arrive at 9 a.m. for orientation with breakfast in the Woodforest Bank Club and plan to remain until 12:30 p.m. Parking is in the Gold Lot parking garage located off Six Pines. Event and performing arts volunteers are to sign up online at www.woodlandscenter.org/staff.
YMCA Healthy Kids Day – will be held on April 26 from 10 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Creekside YMCA Adventure Center, The Woodlands. Ten volunteers are needed to take our Instrument Petting Zoo out to share with our community. Over 800 guests are expected. Please contact Leslie Williams at email@example.com to volunteer. One event credit will be given.
Membership Recruitment & Incentive – It is time for Partners to invite new members to join our organization. The best way to gain volunteers is to invite your friends, co-workers and family members. Please invite interested guests to attend one of our Partners Performing Arts Volunteer trainings. As an incentive, Partners will be awarded one opportunity to win dinner for two for each new member who joins Partners as a performing arts or event volunteer qualifying for a 2014 season badge. The drawing will be at the New Member Party in June. In addition, event volunteers will receive one event credit for recruiting one or more qualified volunteers. (1 Credit Limit per Partner). You are our best advertisement!
Pre-Concert Fundraiser – “All Night Long” – Partners’ Pre-Concert Dinner & Fundraiser will be held prior to the Lionel Ritchie with Ceelo Green concert. Tickets are $200 per person and include special reserved seating at the concert, dinner and VIP club pass. The event will be held in the House of Blues Hospitality Tent at The Pavilion. Funds raised will benefit The Pavilion’s performing arts and educational outreach programs. Guests may RSVP online by visiting www.woodlandscenter.org after April 14. Tickets are limited so make plans to attend!
If you are interested in serving on this committee, the next meeting will be held April 23 at 6pm in the conference room at The Pavilion. Co-Chairs John Robichau, Sarah Epley and Dick Jones would appreciate your volunteering to help make this event a success!
