Pre-Concert Dinner & Fundraiser - Thank you to the committee and volunteers: John Robichau, Sarah Epley, Judy & Dickie Jones, Debbie & Danny Black, Judy Bartok, Beth Butler, Janene Hemmen, Debbie Kline, Ron & Cindy Brandt, Faye and Rod Eason, Sam Hardin, Liz Regan, Kathryn Painter, Angela & Mark Gott, Karen & Jim Listak, Nancy & Steve Sandstrum, Patsy & Namen Chambliss, Sharon Schilling and Tina Dunne.
Funds raised are close to $20,000 for The Pavilion’s educational outreach programs.
Fine Arts Education Day – Thank you to all the volunteers who helped escort students from CISD! Partners moved about 5,000 students safely from their buses to the seats and back as they enjoyed a fun, interactive program with the Houston Symphony designed to inspire new musicians. Read more:
Hocus Pocus Pops –More volunteers are needed for this Houston Symphony performance on Oct. 23. There will be lots of spooky activities, Partners are invited to dress up in a Halloween costume, just make sure your uniform is visible! If you have not had an opportunity to attend a symphony as a guest or as a volunteer, please join us.
Children’s Festival - Calling all Partners! The 20th Annual Children’s Festival is our signature event here at The Pavilion and we really need your help! Partners are The Pavilion’s volunteer corps that make happen events like The Children’s Festival that educates and entertains thousands of children!
The Festival is double credit for every shift you work, plus an extra credit for working more than two shifts. We are still in need of volunteers for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is 2 shifts please email me if you can only work the morning or evening. If you stay all day on Saturday we will serve you lunch!

Volunteer Call for 12 Partners (double credit shift)- 25th ANNUAL GE RUN THRU THE WOODS sponsored by GE will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
A holiday tradition in The Woodlands Town Center, the annual Thanksgiving Day Run Thru the Woods Sponsored by GE and Directed by the South Montgomery County YMCA, is a race/walk designed for all ages and levels of fitness. This year marks the event’s 26th year as one of Texas’ premier running and walking family events. The 2015 event, which will be capped at 6000 participants, is both a family event and a serious running event, enticing for the competitive racer, weekend warrior, recreational runner, kids and walkers.
Proceeds benefit youth charities in Montgomery County including the South Montgomery County YMCA Partners Scholarship program. Other local charities that benefit from the run include Operation Graduation, Conroe ISD AFJROTC Program, and the Education Outreach Program at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. In 201 the event attracted over 5800 participants and raised over $180,000 for the benefiting charities.
*Need Partners to assume the role as timers out on the course. The van with timers takes off when the race starts and then drops off the times at each mile marker. The timers have a stop watch and call out times to the runners as they pass by. The van will then follow the last runner and pick up the timers and return them back to the Pavilion, be at the start line at 7:30 am.
4 timers(Partners) for 5 Mile Race and 2 Timers(Partners) for 3 Mile Race.
Volunteers check in at 7:30 am; will be back at The Pavilion at 10:00 am giving you plenty of time to plan your holiday festivities. Holly Jolly Jingle – Volunteers are needed Dec. 3 for this fun community event. Frolic in our Winter Wonderland, complete with snow, with performances of holiday classics and popular carols. The plazas are all decked out for holiday fun. Guests can visit with Santa, Frosty and other holiday characters, make arts and crafts, play in the snow, listen to carolers sing and much more. All aboard for a ride on the Candy Cane Express for a merry good time starting at 5 p.m. in the Gold Lot.
