News for March 2015
Happy Easter!

Thanks to all our volunteers for offering their time and talent to promote Partners’ mission of “Bringing People and the Arts Together.”

From the Desk of Your Partners’ President:

The Pavilion season kicked off last week with the KSBJ Anniversary Concert. It is going to be an incredible 2015! There are many contemporary shows already booked and on sale, the performing arts schedule is phenomenal and there are two new educational outreach events added for this year. You can expect lots of volunteer opportunities, so please renew your Partners membership ASAP. We need your help in bringing the arts to the community! Membership dues can be paid online or mailed and go toward arts and educational outreach.

New Members Performing Arts Training – **Thursday, April 9 & Wednesday, May 6**
There are two informational meetings scheduled for new and potential Partners interested in being a performing arts volunteer. Volunteers may choose to attend at 1 or 6 p.m. Each session lasts approximately an hour and a half. This is a great way to find out more about our volunteer program.  A mini-tour of The Pavilion is included. If you plan to attend or would like more information, contact Leslie Williams at 281-210-1125 or lwilliams@woodlandscenter.org. Please tell anyone who is considering joining Partners to come and explore volunteering here at The Pavilion!

High School Interns Create Pavilion Partner Commercial – Each year The Pavilion participates in the Education for Tomorrow Alliance Summer Internship program.  This past year The Pavilion was honored to have two high school interns Alexis Danz and Rachel Vaughn who helped in many ways, including helping to facilitate the annual Pre-Concert Fundraiser. But what was most fun for them was a commercial they created for The Pavilion Partners.

Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival – April 10-12, 2015 Save the Date! POSITIONS STILL OPEN.  As a charity partner, The Pavilion is required to enlist volunteers in order to qualify for a donation from a portion of the festival proceeds. When you sign up on their website to volunteer, select The Pavilion as the “charity partner” in order to receive credit as a Partner. It takes over 600 volunteers to make the Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival happen.  As a charity partner, The Pavilion Partners qualifies for a donation from the Festival proceeds based on the number of volunteer hours we provide. Partners as well as their friends, family and coworkers are invited to volunteer by registering at www.woodlandsartsfestival.com and selecting The Pavilion as their “charity” partner.  All volunteers must be 18 years of age.  Last year Partners donated over one thousand hours! Another benefit of volunteering at the Festival is that you will receive free admission into the Festival on the day of your volunteer assignment with the opportunity to browse and shop before and/or after your assigned working shift.  You will also receive a commemorative volunteer Festival T-shirt.

The Pavilion Buzz - Sign up to receive The Pavilion Buzz, your link to the nerve center of The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, home of The Pavilion!  This periodical source of information will give you insight about “hot” topics and events at The Pavilion.  To join, visit www.woodlandscenter.org

Again, thank you for your loyalty and dedication to The Pavilion. Partners looks forward to your continued support in 2015.
