While most everyone recognizes The Pavilion as a contemporary music venue, ticket sales from these contemporary concerts generate less than 25 percent of the cost to produce The Pavilion's performing arts events by the Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera and the Texas Music Festival Orchestra. An even smaller portion of ticket sales generated help to produce The Pavilion's vital educational outreach programs. When you make a gift to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, you ensure that The Pavilion remains an important cultural resource for the community.
Annually, The Pavilion raises an additional $1 million in support from local corporations, foundations and individuals to continue its mission of spreading the power and beauty of music to every corner of our community, as well as enhancing the education of our youth. By opening children's eyes to the arts and bringing families together in a safe, friendly environment, The Pavilion is building a stronger community that inspires and enriches the lives of individuals every year.
